Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. (CCEC) is a Sino-US joint venture established in October 1995 and located in the Tomb of Martyrs in Shapingba District, Chongqing City. The Chinese parent company is Chongqing Mechanical and Electrical Co., Ltd., and the foreign parent company is Cummins (China) Investment Co., Ltd., each accounting for 50% of the investment. There are more than 1,400 employees. The predecessor of Chongqing Cummins(CCEC) is Chongqing Automobile Engine Factory, which has been designing and manufacturing diesel engines since the 1950s.
Chongqing Cummins(CCEC) is the starting point of Cummins’ localized production in China, and is Cummins’ largest professional manufacturer of heavy-duty and high-horsepower engines in China. In 1981, Cummins and the former China National Heavy Duty Truck Group formally signed a license agreement and began to produce Cummins high-horsepower diesel engines in Chongqing. After years of development, the cooperation between the two parties has continued to deepen. Chongqing Cummins has always been an important driving force for the rapid growth of Cummins in China.
Leading products
CCEC Cummins mainly produces Cummins N, K, M three series diesel engines, generator sets and other power units. The engine power covers 145-1343KW, with an annual production capacity of 15,000 units. The products are suitable for heavy-duty vehicles, large passenger cars, construction machinery, mining machinery, petroleum machinery, rail machinery, port machinery, stationary and mobile diesel generator sets, power stations, marine propulsion power units and auxiliary power units, pump power units and other power unit.
The main products meet the Phase 2 and Phase 3 emission requirements of diesel engines for road vehicles (Euro 2 and Europe 3), as well as the Phase 1 and Phase 2 emission requirements of diesel engines for off-road vehicles, as specified by Chinese national standards, American standards and European standards. (Tier 1 and Tier 2).

——CCEC Cummins Quality management system. The company obtained the ISO9001:94 certification issued by France BVQI in 1999; obtained the BVQI ISO9001: 2000 certification at the end of 2002; and in 2006 it obtained the BVQIISO/TS16949:2002 quality certification.
——CCEC Cummins Safety and quality standardization. In 2006, it passed the national safety and quality standardization review, and the State Administration of Work Safety issued a document to approve our company as a "national first-level safety and quality standardization" machinery manufacturing enterprise.
——CCEC Cummins Occupational health and safety and environmental management system. The company obtained the OHSAS18001/ISO14001 certificate of French BV in early 2008, and obtained the OHSAS18001/ISO14001: 2007 certificate through the revision audit in early 2009; it obtained the ISO14001 certificate of French BV in early 2009.
